Fun Nottingham Halloween

Have you already got your big Halloween weekend sorted out? Well if you haven’t, there is still plenty of time for to arrange what you’ll be doing on what is one of the biggest party nights of the year! Especially as this year Halloween falls on a Friday night, you can enjoy one major Halloween weekend.

Whether you are a student looking for a wild weekend or a young family who want to entertain the kids, are all sorts of things to do in Nottingham.

 

The Galleries of Justice Museum is one of the city’s creepiest hotspots, a former gaol and courthouse which is rumoured to be haunted. Their Halloween Freaky Fortnight is an opportunity for people of all ages to learn about the horrid hangings that once took place here. Not only can you explore five floors of Victorian courtrooms and prison cells as you delve lower and lower underground, but you can also book a Terror Tour for a Saturday night around Halloween.

 

If this is not quite what you are after, or if you cannot get a space on the tours, then you might enjoy the Nottingham Ghost Walk. Meeting on a Saturday night at 7pm, you and a large group of local people will be taken on a guided tour of many of the sensations, haunted caves where you will listen to blood-curdling (sort of), scary tales.

 

Sobar Cafe on Friar Lane will be presenting an afternoon of Ghost Stories. For children aged 6+ this two-hour event will consist of local ghost stories, a workshop about writing your own ghost story, and even a fancy dress competition for which a prize will be handed out to the best dressed.

 

If you fancy a fun start to the evening with a bit of charity golf, The Lost City are having a night in aid of Mencap and the Nottinghamshire Hospice, 30^th October at 6pm. Costing £25 per team (4-6 players), it is a fun-filled way to start your evening.
